| This is my 1999
International 4700 Low Profile medium duty truck. It has a 530
cubic inch, 8.7 liter straight six diesel engine with 275
horsepower and 800 foot pounds of torque. It easily seats 5 and
can get 6 to a nearby restaurant. |

 |
|
The truck is pretty versatile, it
fits us both and we both drive the rig and tow the fiver. |
|
| |
 |
|
From the front it looks pretty wide.
It is the same width as a dual wheel pickup but the front wheels
are set to track with the rear outside wheels not the inside ones. |
|
| |
 |
|
It has a nice sized bed that can be
used to haul anything that fits around the hitch. Both my original
hitch and the McCall air ride one I changed to are not easily
removable. Towing over 15,000 pounds of trailer I like the solid
connection. | |
| |
 |
|
From the side you can see that the
bed rails are lower than the ones on a F-250 Ford which mans that
the trailer can sit level and still leave clearance for crossing
off-level ground. | |

|
This is the engine from the drivers side. You
can see the electronic control module just above and to the right of the
center. |
|
| |
 |
|
This is the engine from the passenger
side. The big black circle is the air filter. Below and to the
front of it is the turbocharger. |

This is from the back seat looking at
the dashboard. The gauges are nice sized and well positioned. I
wish I had added a boost and EGT gauge when I ordered, getting
factory ones installed later is difficult. You can see my Jordan
2020 Ultima brake controller on the steering column, it is the
best unit I have owned since my hydraulic Kelsey-Hayes many years
ago. | |
