Air Ride Hitch

Home Up Truck RV Projects Air Ride Hitch Travels

This is my McCall air ride hitch. It is one of the new style, dual articulated units. We have several thousand miles on it now and really love it. We never had a problem with our original style McCall hitch but the ride improvements from this one are amazing. No more clunking or jerking on hard shifts - up or down!
top_small.jpg (133x99 -- 5014 bytes)   A look at the top of the hitch. It is rather small and leaves lots of room for cargo around it even with the front to rear cushioning air bags and shocks.
driver_small.jpg (133x86 -- 3944 bytes)   The drivers side of the hitch. This model has the hinge pins raised to make the arms parallel to the truck frame for a smoother ride and mounted on pivots so the head can move front to rear as well as up and down.
pax_small.jpg (133x93 -- 4443 bytes)   From the passenger side, you can see the extra set of shocks for front/rear movement.
back_small.jpg (133x113 -- 5003 bytes)   From the rear it looks like the earlier units. The Binkley head is the easiest to use hitch head I have ever used.
glide_small.jpg (146x133 -- 6371 bytes)   Close-up of the front/rear air bags and the pivot and glide hinge assembly.
