| The first powered
move of the trailer is done when all the windows and trim have
been installed. All that remains are the items on the roof and the
awnings. The door to the factory is just a bit tight for a high
profile model over 35 feet. Some of the higher and longer units
actually have some air removed from the tires to allow them to
clear the door frame. We made it out with full tires and almost an
inch of clearance. |

The unit is picked up by a forklift
with a fifth wheel towing attachment on the fork and the wheels
that have been added to the front jacks to allow it to be moved
inside the factory are removed.

Several spotters are positioned
around the unit as it approaches the doorway. This is a delicate
operation and the folks take great care to insure everything goes
smoothly. | |

Once the bathroom has cleared
everyone can relax a bit. You can see why they wait to install the
air conditioner and roof vent covers. We had about two inches at
the roof and the sewer hose holders came within about an inch at
the lip of the concrete floor.

Outside at last. The crew will now
attach all the awnings and roof mounted equipment. |

The unit is finished. We decided to
leave the unit white with no striping. Automate offers several
different colors of stripes or you can do something custom...
Plain was not a big hit with the factory crew until they saw how
clean the unit looked hooked to our un-striped truck. |
